GitOps has turned the magic of “git to prod” into a reality since Kubernetes has allowed for immutable infrastructure to be the cornerstone of every Cloud Native deployment. Still, there are those who still find the practice of “GitOps” to be either a marketing gimmick or a mystery. In this talk we’ll aim to demystify GitOps, go over the principles and how those relate to modern practices, and go over what is next for GitOps!
